Floor problems, Monday, 11th May, 2026:

 We have been made aware that the floor at Kawana on the 11/5 was VERY sticky and almost impossible to dance on.

Council has been contacted and have advised the following:

Kawana Hall was rented out on Saturday, 9th May for a private party.

Alcohol and other substances were dropped on the floor and spread around.

Cleaners were sent in to clean but only a light clean was done, leaving the floor in a mess for Monday night's dance.

Council have apologized for not realising that the floor had not been cleaned effectively and have assured us that the Cleaners would be going in again on Wednesday, 13th May, to do a FULL clean and that this will rectify the problem.

We will be inspecting the floor on Thursday, 14th May, to ensure that all is in readiness for our dances on Friday, 15th and Monday, 18th May.

 

 

NEWSLETTER- December, 2025 

We have reached the end of another beautiful year of dancing.

 

We are grateful for your support and, as a not-for-profit club, have again been able to lend financial support to local community groups.

 

Throughout the 2025 calendar year, the club has been able to assist these groups with donations in the amount of $26,000, bringing our total donations for the last eight years to $192,550. Maybe next year we will reach $200,000.

 

Organisations that we have helped this year include Cittamani, Coastal Caring Clowns, Cycling Without Age Sunshine Coast, Kawana Waters Anglican Parish, Life Flight Foundation, Royal Flying Doctor Service, Sippy Downs Animal Refuge, Smart Pups Assistance Dogs, Sunshine Linus, and Uniting Care Community.

 

Thank you for your support without which none of this would be possible.

 

Our final Monday night dance at Kawana will be our Xmas Dance on 15^th December. This is a FREE dance and all are welcome!!

 

Don’t forget our NYE dance at Kawana on 31^st December, starting at 8:00pm. Come along and dance in the New Year!!  

 

We start back for 2026 on Monday, 12^th January, with our first Friday being on the 16^th January.

 

Friday dances for 2026 will be held on every Friday with the exception of the 2^nd Friday monthly as the Hall is unavailable on those nights.

 

Weekly dance programs, information about special events, dance scripts, and more are available on our website   dedicateddanceworkshop.com. This website is updated every Tuesday to show the programs for the coming Friday and Monday. 

We are expecting 2026 to be another enjoyable year, and look forward to sharing that year with you all.
